COVID-19

Grocery stores were deemed an essential business during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the Smith's Food & Drug Corporate Affairs Manager, Aubriana Martindale led the external and internal communication strategy for the grocery division to ensure the safety, health and well-being of associates and customers while maintaining business operations. The COVID-19 crisis communication plan included: public service announcements, handling of all prepared media statements and interviews, associate internal communication, coordination with food associations and elected officials and emergency relief contributions.
