Aubriana is passionate about storytelling and the power a meaningful narrative has to elevate and enhance an organization’s brand, identity and development. She currently serves as the Corporate Affairs Manager for Smith’s Food & Drug. Through her work she upholds the company's purpose to Feed the Human Spirit by creating an experience where associates love to work and customers love to shop.

She feels fortunate to be able to focus her professional efforts on giving back and helping find innovative solutions to bring positive change to the community. She has invested her time in support of the community by serving on several non-profit boards to enhance the awareness of Smith's mission including: Utah Food Bank Board of Governors, Granite Education Foundation Board of Governors, Salt Lake Chamber’s HIVE Committee, Salt Lake Chamber Board of Governors and the Nevada Corporate Giving Council.
In addition to her work, she makes an effort to stay relevant in her field by regularly attending conferences and seminars to ensure she achieves the best results in a constantly evolving world.
Experience
Aubriana Martindale is the Corporate Affairs Manager for Smith’s Food & Drug Stores, a $5 billion division of the Kroger Co., with over 20,0000 associates operating 141 retail grocery stores throughout seven western states (Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming).
She directs all corporate communications, media and community relations, philanthropy programs and serves as Smith’s spokesperson. She oversees Smith’s government relation’s efforts by representing the company’s interests before local, state and federal government officials. In addition, she actively participates on state-level food industry associations in responding to important food industry issues.
In 2019, Aubriana oversaw the distribution of over $15 million in cash and in-kind donations to support local non-profit organizations. Through Smith’s charitable giving the company provided average donations of $105,000 per store location. She also achieved $1.2 million in earned media to enhance Smith’s reputation and share their unique story.
Aubriana is recognized within Smith’s parent company, Kroger Co, as being a leader among her colleagues in creating innovative local partnerships. She is certified by Kroger’s Leadership Excellence Acceleration Program and assisted a national associate volunteer lunchbox packing event, to support hungry school children, and the presentation of a $1 million gift to Feeding America by Oprah Winfrey and her endorsement of Kroger’s efforts to end hunger.
Most recently, Aubriana was recognized by the Utah Business Magazine as a 2020 award recipient for 40 under 40. In 2018, Progressive Grocer, a national food association recognized her as one of the Top Women in Grocery in 2018 for her continued achievements as an influential female in the North American retail food industry.

During this time, we are witnessing all kinds of heroes at work -- nurses, doctors, frontline workers, teachers, truckers, farmers and grocery store workers, just to name a few.

Now, local grocery store employees are also stepping up to help some Utah families who may be struggling to make ends meet.
​
Smith's Food & Drug is letting you round up your change at the register, or make a $1, $5 or $10 dollar donation.
The money goes to help families put food on their tables. Smith's and their parent company Kroger, have set aside $10 million dollars for non-profits.

They are also continuing their Zero Hunger Zero Waste program, and donating any food that can't be sold on a daily basis to Utah Food Bank.

Smith's is Providing Solutions to Easily Access Pharmacy Prescriptions
Smith’s Food & Drug Store Pharmacies are providing a home prescription delivery service to bring needed medication to customer’s homes as a result of COVID-19.
To help maintain continuity of care and keep people safe in their homes, customers of Smith’s Pharmacies can request their prescription to be delivered within two days. This home delivery service is provided at no cost until May 16th.
